Yalta catching up to Tempo

"David, I tell you, this is all you need to do. Are you listening? Ok. Now here is how: just do another 45,000 problems in the next year, then after he does another twenty thousand, you just need to apply yourself a little bit more and you will be there":

dkTransform has hired a personal fitness trainer Helga Von Franz (above) to help him decompress from the rigours of OBP, the sustained pressure of training at CTS, and recovering from making a MESS at the CTS message board last week.

LOL. Just hang on. The first 50,000 seems to be the most difficult one:)

i'm back on CTS after a brief break due to vacations. Let's see how much chess I can maintain while doing college apps and running and doing homework. :)

Beware of women and metal doors, they can distract you from chess:)
I hope all is well?

generalkaia, welcome back. for me at least, i find that neither doing too much nor too little to be the best way, but aimig for consistency.

temopo: at the same time, i did have two seperate closed head injuries in the last week at work (long story), and got a CAT-scan at a hospital and they informed me that my brain is ok--but i also still have some neck and upper shoulder pain. i expect to recover. but since i did not go unconscious yet had two successive injuries, they combined into a nasty potion. for a few days i was really light headed, and still not 100% on my feet... my company is very safety conscious and has been supportive.

i simply dont know what athletes do who have big financial incentives and incomes and large goals, who get knocked out! what a risk. a minor concussion has really rattled me.

i expect to be ok, but need some time.

and women from eastern europe are NOT like american women at all. no they are not! my dream has come true: i met a very lovely one.

i copy my note at from tempo's post upon hitting 60,000 in the last day:
i repsectfully need to say there that is impossible to compare the 92,000 student 'C', and senior student-teacher Tempo at 60,000. one has a rating that is nearly unchanged, and the other growing. one a rather 'hasty' 63%, another at a concerted and strategically balanced 80.3%.. awesome. congrats. yes, after hiking all day, i came in late and did some CTS and at the end noticed your 60k. you lead the way to all of us!

i don't mean this to be unkind, but the honest truth is, is that nearly a monkey can type 90,000 characters and get a word sounding like Shakespeare in two years of hitting keys. 63%? to what use???? no.

i am only a few days from 84.0%, currently 83.9053. my approach relates to yours, just a different angle. i will hit 85.00% 25,000 by 31dec, and most days get 12f/100 = 88%. i need 8100 tries at 87.284% and i will be there.

you have been more than clear in articulating how % does not concern you, but fine all the same. :)
