Blunderprone is coming to Seattle

Gosh, I hope that I said nothing to offend him! Blunderprone must be really serious about something. He is even bringing his wife. Why is he asking to see me? What do you suppose that he wants? Am I in any danger? :)

This is for mid August, so no one tags me till then! And, oh, do I have a real plan for my answers! You will all have hell to pay. :)

We agreed to meet and pound down a few glasses of the hard stuff:

Mid August, he says. So I beseech almighty god for me to get to 1400 bullet again fast, so I can write his post soon, and therefore, the rest of them... the work of many nights. Only 464 games in the last 21 days, and not all of them bullet. I am ready for this to end. I had it to within 2 elo. Ouch. Hence, the photo below of the gorging bull.

Well, Don't get too carried away. After all, like I said, I am governed by my higher power... wife...in this instance. We are out visiting our daughter as she wraps up her internship at MicroSoft. It's also our anniversary. Just a few days over an extended weekend. If time permits, I may be able to escape for a coffee, perhaps a casual game ... and I am threatening to give you a big old BEAR HUG... because I can.

Take care... don't burn yourself out.

I think it's pretty clear from the picture that he's a man about to snap at any moment.

If we go beyond hypothesisess, is there any evidence that this bulletstuff has a positive effect on your slow OTB games?

tempo, i see your point. thank you for your comment.

at the same time, i am not even sure if whether i am getting better a slower forms of chess AT THIS TIME (i am sure that i am, but not my point:) nor am I even sure whether this is even releveant to ME. let me explain:

im not even sure if i am getting better at bullet. every single time i get 'close' to my goal, and i mean by micrometers or milimeters, i fall. the classic sign of being overated to a limit.

now, in due time, i will get to my goal, which is a number.

but, the main thing FOR ME, is that after +/- 1350 bullet games at ICC and 527 lightning at FICS, and 300+ yahoo (last year, rapids), i now have enough data to sort out an oppening reporatore, endgames of not all but many types for study, and so all this is, is a way to very quickly compress a TREMENDOUS AMOUNT of chess experience quickly,

which may or may not have value, but after reviewing much of those games, aim to make a big jump up at slower forms.

thereby i will afterwards play slower, using study time to review ALL those games in parallel to GM game study, so operating according to a definite plan.

marathoners might train day after day, or even overtrain, but after rest, can feel strong after total exhaustion, and similar here.

i have a clear plan.

warmest, dk

derek, LOL, literally. smiles*.

The power of the chessblogosphere is that everybody is testing different methods. I'm glad you are testing this one. In stead of me, that is:)
